Configuration

Activation

To activate the Usercentrics CMP:

  1. Go to YOOtheme Pro → Corporate Tools → Consent Tools → Consent Management..
  2. Set Active CMP to Usercentrics.
  3. Go further to Usercentrics → Settings.
  4. Enter your Setting ID.

The Usercentrics CMP should now show up in the Customizer preview window.

Privacy Policy / Imprint

After activating Usercentrics, the CMP overlay will not disappear until you have made your decision. To be clear: You cannot access the frontend of your website without having made a privacy decision. However, to be in line with the GDPR, your privacy policy and imprint should always be accessible, no matter whether you have made a decision. To suppress the CMP on these sites, you have to enter the links to these sites.

  1. Go to Privacy Policy resp. Imprint field and click on the link symbol.
  2. Choose Menu Items tab.
  3. Search for the corresponding menu item, if not listed yet.
  4. Select the menu item by clicking on it. The menu item link will now be pasted into the input field.

Always use menu item links

Do not choose the article itself. Always choose the menu item that leads to the article, otherwise the CMP won't be suppressed correctly. Your menu item link should look like this: index.php?Itemid=101 in Joomla! or index.php?page_id=101 in WordPress.

Data Processing Services

You might wonder that there is no possibility to define the external services that you use on your website. The Usercentrics CMP is a Software-as-a-Service, thus the CMP and its configuration will be loaded from Usercentrics when opening your website. This is the reason why you cannot make any changes to the CMP in Corporate Tools.

TIP

You need to register all data processing services that you use on your website. This can be done in the control panel of your Usercentrics dealer. Please contact your dealer for more information.
